MULDOON, Thomas “Tom”
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Thomas Muldoon on May 29, 2016 at the age of 73 years. Beloved husband and best friend of Vicky Muldoon for 45 years. Cherished father of Tina Alonzo (Gus) and Tom Muldoon (Emilynne). Loving grandpa of Keegan, Thomas, and Madison. Dear brother of Pam MacDonald, Carol Barnhard (Ron) and Leslie Cullen (Ron). He will be missed by many extended family members and friends. Tom was a dedicated elementary school teacher with the Catholic board for over 30 years. He loved to watch movies and to cheer on his Detroit sports teams. Tom enjoyed bowling, golf, cards, and attending his grandson’s hockey and soccer games. We would like to thank the staff at Tecumseh Extendicare (Riverside wing) for their wonderful care, compassion, and respect. A very special thank you to his close friend Ray Lussier, for being there in his time of need.

Matthew Joseph “Max” Krutsch

maxPeacefully at home with his loving family on April 23, 2016 at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of Mary (nee Douglas) for 57 years. Loving father of Susan, and Dan and wife Ava. Adored Grampa of Erika and Matthew. Predeceased by kid brother Jack (Mary Ann). Dear brother-in-law of Eleanore Stephens (late Joe), Russ Douglas (Elaine), and the late Marguerite and Bill Hazael, Rodger Douglas, Eilleen Kearns and Dick Dufoe. Loving uncle and playmate to many nieces and nephews. Max retired from Ford Canada after 30 years of service. He was an avid athlete with many accomplishments in local baseball and bowling leagues and enjoyed camping, fishing, playing pool and cards, and of course, watching TV. If you so desire, donations to the Renal Dialysis Unit – Ouellette Campus or a Charity of your Choice would be appreciated by the family.

We were sad to hear of the death of Richard Dungy. Richard has been an umpire for WECSSO for the past few years. We will miss him and his sense of humour. Details below.

Retired Detroit Deputy Police Chief went home to be with the Lord on Monday, September 14, 2015. Leaving to mourn his loss is his wife Carolyn Robinson-Dungy, son Michael (Tina), daughters Melissa Ray (Chester) and Robbin Dungy. Special Dad to Ryan Robinson and Rachelle MacLean. Poppa to Amanda, Richard and April Ray. Great- Poppa to Alexandra Gregory. Special Grampa to Serena Robinson, Shane (Rebecca) Robinson, Dave Grech, Todd and Anisha MacLean.

WECSSO 19th Annual Remembrance Day

The WECSSO Annual Remembrance Day is scheduled for Saturday August 15th at 10 AM near the fountain at the foot of Ouellette Ave. Please attend if you can and use this opportunity to celebrate the life of a teammate who has passed away. We have the family of the deceased unveil a stone that is inscribed with the name and number of the deceased. We will be celebrating 8 members this year.

Clarence (Clare) Meneghini

Dad pMENEGHINIassed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Thursday, May 7, 2015 at the age of 85. Cherished father of Jeff (Anna) and Laurie. Clare adored his children, they were the sunshine of his life. Adored Papa Clare to Shawn, Rylie, Taylor and Spencer. Loving husband to Mary and loved by her children, Michael (Anh), Janine (Bob) and Katherine (Chris). Wonderful Grandpa to Jared (Stephanie), Matthew, Olivia, Jessica and Ethan. Clare’s many friends and family will miss a wonderful man who was full of thoughtfulness, love and a great sense of humor. Clare thanks the Hogan, Hunter and Faulkner families for their lifelong friendships. Heartfelt thanks to all of the nurses and doctors for their medical assistance and compassion shown towards Clare. With respect for Clare’s wishes cremation has taken place.

Predeceased by parents Stjepan (2006) and Barka (2009). Adoring husband & best friend to wife Jayne for 38 years. Most devoted father and biggest fan to his sons Steven (Lindsay) and Ryan (Kelly). Most dedicated and cherished Dede to his “GGs” Blake and Jack. Brother-in-law to Wayne & Deb Fortin, Leah & Ted Nantais and Paul & Darlene Fortin. Fondly remembered by many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces & nephews, along with countless other friends who were lucky enough to have known him. Steve retired from Daimler Chrysler after working for 35 years. He had two passions in life. First and foremost his family. Second was his undeniable passion for sports, especially softball, and the special bond he had with his team mates from the FOG Devils. Steve touched the lives of so many people with his big smile, kindness and generosity. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Donations to the Ontario Heart and Stroke would be appreciated by the family.

It is with heavy hearts that we express the passing of our beloved Louis on December 30, 2014 at the age of 82 years. Devoted husband and life companion to Arleen (nee Zverina) for almost 60 years. Loving father of Kim Dunlop (Dave), Kathy Bortolin (Dan), Karen McMahan (Bob), Kelly Oliver (Mark), and Krista Clarke (George). Cherished and proud grandpa to C.J., Alex and Leah Dunlop, Nathan and Aron Bortolin, Bob and James McMahan and Morgan and Kurtis Oliver. Predeceased by parents Alcide and Rose Deschamps (nee Rivest). Dear brother of Raymond (late wife Mary). Predeceased by siblings Alphonse (Ethel), Albert (Rose), Hector (Gladys), Imelda Vigneux (Eddie), Marcel (Marion), Sam (Lucille), Leo, Gertrude (Elmer), Pete (survived by wife Rita), Rosaire (survived by wife Florence), Marguerite Johnson (Lloyd) and Bernard. Dear son-in-law to the late Tony and Laura Zverina (nee Laforet). Brother-in- law to Bernice Huha (late Vince), Doreen Parent (late Paul), the late Roger Zverina (Lorraine Ribble), late Don Zverina and Len Zverina. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Louis’s main focus was first and foremost his love for his wife, his five girls and family. He was a true athlete throughout his life and incorporated his love of sports by his leadership in various sport activities. He was one of the founders of Riverside Minor Baseball Association (both boys and girls). A dedicated coach for all ages for 25 years. He was treasurer of W.E.C.S.S.O. as an original founder and member from 1988 taking part in baseball into his 70th birthday. He was very involved in Parish activities and spent his entire life in community service. In his free time he was an avid builder and flyer of remote control model airplanes. He retired from Chrysler Canada after 35 years of service. Special thanks to CCAC, especially Cheryl and Linda, and also Home Instead CAREGiver, Garrett. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Windsor and Essex County.

Peacefully, after a courageous battle with cancer on October 3, 2014 at 74 years of age. Cherished husband of Sandra for 25 years. Loving father of Neal and wife Sandy, Greg and wife Kathy and Curtis. Treasured Grandpa of Kyle, Nicole (Alex), Robert and Adam. Adored son of Gloria and the late Leo Villeneuve. Dear brother of Diane Villeneuve. He will be sadly missed by his nieces and nephews. Ron retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1999 after 33 years as a supervisor. He was active with WECSSO playing and umpiring slow pitch. Loving brother of sisters Anne Mann (husband Les) BC, Mary Shelepuk (husband Ron) Arizona, Helen Bohonko Toronto. Dear son-in-law of Susan Glenholme (husband Brian) North Bay. Will be sadly missed by sister-in-law Heather Mutch Owen Sound, brother-in-law Everett Bain (wife Linda), Callander, nephew Gary Mann (wife Paula) Florida, niece Deborah Mierau (husband Garry) Prince Rupert. Pre deceased by his parents John and Nancy Bohonko (nee Kohut), twin sister Diane Bohonko, brother John Bohonko, and niece Pam Mann. Dave was a long time High School teacher with the Windsor/Essex School Board and had a tremendous influence on so many young people not only through his teaching but also through his leadership along with his wife Judy of the Christian Living Club. Dave was known to study the Word of God and lived accordingly. Dave loved Jesus, his wife Judy, and participating in various sports.
