A reminder that the Annual Spring Meeting is Wednesday April 15th at 1:00 p.m. at Ciociaro Club in Salon C. Come out and check out any changes and updates for the Summer Slo-pitch season. Looking forward to seeing everyone! Recent posts to the website include the Red and Blue Rosters and Players Rules. Please familiarize yourself with the rules before the season. Green Division will be having their pre-season Orientation on April 20th and 22nd at St. Clair College Sports Park from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Players will be drafted by April 24th and the team rosters will be posted thereafter. Umpires are meeting Wednesday April 22nd to get ready for the season. Many thanks to these volunteers! 2026 marks the 3rd year batting practices and clinics were organized by WECSSO for WECSSO. These are again held at Riverside Minor Baseball Centre in 2 sessions from 12:00pm to 1:00pm and 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A huge shout out to the volunteer instructors, pitchers, first aid and organizers. Great news, the new Thursday Indoor Slo-Pitch league has expanded to 4 teams in 2 time slots. We’re hoping to expand to 5 teams next year, similar to the present Tuesday schedule. |

2. Constitutional Changes – None of the four proposals were adopted by the membership.
Annual Banquet – October 16th – Ciociaro Club
Approximately 200 members will be attending the Annual Banquet. Tickets will not be sold at the door.
Indoor Baseball – November 5th start date at the Novelletto Centre.
5 teams will be playing this season. Thank you to the Managers for volunteering.
Registration for 2025 – on-line registrations are available now. Hard copies will be available at the Annual Banquet and can be found on the website to print off.
Registrations are due by January 31st, 2025

August is turning out to be a very busy month. Lots going on and lots of events coming up.
Where has the summer gone? Besides too many rain dates!
August 17th – Day of Remembrance – Dieppe Park, 10:00 am. Deceased members are honoured with an engraved brick. Please attend to show the family our support and recognition of our missing WECSSO members.

Annual General Meeting – October 2nd – 1 pm at Ciociaro Club. All members should attend! Purpose to review the year’s activities and elect 6 members to our Board of Directors. If you have any questions or concerns about our organization, this meeting is for you. More information to follow.
Annual Banquet – October 16th – Ciociaro Club – Tickets on sale starting August 12th – $25 – with a $10.00 refund at the door for players only. Last day for ticket sales will be at the AGM October 2nd. Guests are encouraged to attend.

Another great day spent with fellow players and teammates. Thanks to Unifor Local #444 for their generous donation and to the organizers and volunteers who made it happen.
Canned Food Drive
The Downtown Mission received 1200 pounds of food and canned goods. In addition, our members gave $1140.00 in cash to buy additional food items.
