Playoff’s start next week. Please see the schedule below. Conveners, Managers and Umpires will be meeting this week to review the Playoff Rules.
September 9th – Elimination games for the Red and Green divisions
(R5 vs R4 on D-2 and G5 vs G4 on D-4)
September 10th – Elimination games for the Blue division
(B6 vs B3 on D-1, B7 vs B2 on D-2, B5 vs B4 on D-4)
September 14th – Semi-Finals for the Red and Green divisions
(G4 vs G1 on D-1, R4 vs R1 on D-2, R3 vs R2 on D-3, and G3 vs G2 on D-4)
September 15th – Semi-Finals for the Blue division
(B4 vs B1 on D-2, B3 vs B2 on D-4)
September 16th – Finals for the Red and Green divisions
(R2 vs R1 on D-2, G2 vs G1 on D-4)
September 17th – Finals for the Blue division (B2 vs B1 on D-2)
**The week of September 21st to 24th are left open as rain dates.
ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
October 7th (Wednesday) at the Ciociaro Club Salon C at 1 pm
All members need to attend this meeting!
The purpose is to review the year’s activities and elect 6 members to the Board of Directors. To be eligible for election, candidates must be in good standing and in attendance at the AGM, or have submitted a signed letter of intent.
Anyone wishing to make a change to the constitution must submit it to Don Balkwill no later than September 7th.

YEAR END BANQUET
October 22nd (Thursday) – Ciociaro Club, Salon A
Doors open at 4 pm. Dinner is served at 5 pm.
Tickets are being distributed this week. Cutoff date to purchase a ticket is at the October 7th AGM.

REGISTRATION FOR 2027 SUMMER LEAGUE
Registration will take place before both the AGM and the BANQUET for those wishing to register early. This includes on-line and paper copy.

SURVEY
The Board will be conducting a survey that requires your input in determining a possible solution to make up any rain dates for the 2027 season.
Everyone is aware of the many cancelled games this season. In total there were 61 dates lost to rain and 1 to smoke.

GOLF TOURNAMENT
101 golfers spent a great day at Orchard View Golf Course for the 4th Annual WECSSO Golf Tournament.
Overall winning group with an impressive 16 under par was Brian Schauer, Dale Renaud, Glenn Gorick, and Jeremy Brown. Their names will be added to the WECSSO trophy.

Please be advised that the Ciociaro Complex is a smoke/vape-free area. The Board of Health, may randomly visit the complex to check enforcement. The fine if breaking the by-law is $305 for a first offence and between $1000 – $3000 for any additional infractions.
Signs are now posted at the gate to the diamonds and near the trailer, please smoke only in these areas.
