Day of Remembrance

WECSSO would like to express our sincere gratitude to the families of our former members, our WECSSO members, and the many volunteers who made our Day of Remembrance such a special event.

Last Saturday August 16th, families for players Stan Scratch, Jerry Bocchini, Thomas C. McCann, Jack Westlake, Morrie Gallagher, Tim F. Rounds, Irwin C. Jones, unveiled dedicated bricks engraved with the members’ name. Although we miss our former members, we remember them fondly and thank you for sharing a part of them with us. 

Next years’ service will take place on August 15th, 2026 at Dieppe Gardens at 10:00 am, rain or shine.  Parking is adjacent and plentiful.   If you were unable to attend please enjoy the pictures below.

Game starting time change

Ladies and Gents,

 As of Monday and for the months of July and August, all divisions will start their games at no later than 9:30 am. Batting practice will be from 8:45 to 9:15 and infield practice if desired will be from 9:15 to 9:30 am.  A number of health related issues have occurred this past week due the heat and humidity. This time change hopefully will get us all out of the extreme temps sooner. Thanks for your cooperation.

Indoor Volunteer Appreciation-April 2025

The Indoor Slo-pitch is season is coming to an end as of April 29th.  We would like to express our gratitude to the volunteers who made 2024/25 another successful season.  Many thanks to the Umpires, Bob W. and Chris B. and our
First Aid care from Donna R. and Arlene Y.

Thanks to the Managers and Assistant Managers for their unending encouragement and support: Bill K., Brian S., Kevin S., Gord B., Mike P., Ron O., Aldo B., and Scott M.

Last but not least are our Convenors, Mike P and Ron O. Thanks for organizing the Indoor league.

Annual Spring Meeting Wednesday April 16, 2025

Spring is officially here and the 2025 Summer Slo-Pitch Season is just around the corner.

Our Annual Spring Meeting is a great way to see everyone and receive important information for the league and the start of the season.  Your Executive has been meeting over the winter and spring to prepare for another great season.

2025 Summer Slo-Pitch Registration Reminder

Greetings Everyone,

Although it may not feel or look like it, Spring is around the corner.  Hope everyone had a safe, healthy and happy holiday season.
 
A reminder that registrations are due at the end of this month, January 31st. 
 
If you have already registered, thank you.  If not,  you still have time to register to save your spot.  Just click on Summer Slo-Pitch Registration from the menu on our home page.
 
Your Executive and Committee’s are working towards the 2025 season. It will be ball season before we know it.
 

2024 Annual Banquet

Greetings Everyone,

What a great way to end the season!  We were just shy of 200 players and guests at the Ciociaro Club for our Year End banquet. What a great meal…thank you Ciociaro!

To all the businesses and members that donated door prizes, thank you for your support and generosity.  Thank you to the Social Committee for organizing the evening and to WECSSO for sponsoring this event.   To the members and guests, thank you for attending and we hope you enjoyed yourself.  

Great company!  Great food!  A wonderful evening!

Have a safe and healthy off-season.  See you in the Spring!

Door Prizes for Wednesday October 16th Annual Banquet

Greetings everyone,

Our Annual Banquet is just around the corner.  How is it already September?
 
As in years past, anyone wishing to provide a door prize for the banquet, your generosity is welcome.
 
Over the next several weeks, Patti and Barbara will be collecting door prizes at the ball park before and after the games.  Bringing the donation to the AGM on October 2nd also works.
 
Anyone wishing for a letter from WECSSO, that states you are collecting for our banquet, can get one from me, upon request.  Should an organization request a receipt, we will provide it.
 
Thank you for your generosity, it is greatly appreciated.
 
Any questions. comments are concerns, let us know.  Looking forward to seeing everyone at the banquet on Wednesday October 16th at Ciociaro.
