In Loving Memory of Bill Scheuerman

August 31, 1935 – July 31, 2026

With deepest love and sorrow we share the passing of Adam (aka Bill) William Scheuerman, son of Adam and Helen Scheuerman, who passed away peacefully this morning after a brief struggle with complications due to a stroke. He lived a full and impactful life to the distinguished age of 90 years old.

Bill was the devoted husband of Marilyn Scheuerman (nee Manktelow) for 69 years and proud father to Susan (Tracey), Cory (Jim), and Cary (Sheila). He is fondly remembered by his four grandchildren, Leah (T.J.), Shannon (Ryan), Brendan and Chelsea. Bill proudly boasts of his eight great-grandchildren, Matthew, Caleb, Nathaniel, Jeremiah, McKenna, Addison, Cecelia and Layton.

He is survived by his loving sisters, Esther (the late George) Flattery and Linda (Dan) Osborne. He is predeceased by his brothers, Al, Fred (the late Robbie) and Walter and is lovingly remembered by his sisters-in-law, Jan and Mary, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Bill influenced and guided many young lives during his 33 years as an educator with the Windsor Public Board of Education. He was very active in his church (Parkwood Gospel) and participated as a board member for several years in his younger days. He enjoyed leading a quartet to bring comfort and happiness to residents of nursing homes.

Bill loved sports! He played slow-pitch and volleyball into his retirement years. When he wasn’t playing, he was coaching for the church baseball team. He also acted as an umpire in the seniors’ league.

Our family would like to express our heartfelt gratitude to the pastoral staff at Parkwood Gospel Church for their care of both Bill and Marilyn in their senior years. We would also like to thank the many visitors who have encouraged Bill during his stay at the hospital; especially Leona Bjorkman, Wayne Brown, Jim Brown and Mark Morris. Our family would not be the same without the new addition of Bill and Marilyn’s loving and compassionate caregiver, Shelley Kaschak, who has provided such wonderful care these last six years.
