Protocol for Rain Outs

This is the protocol to be followed for cancelling rained out games:
1) Matt or Megan Janisse will check the diamonds. They will determine if all the diamonds or just 1 diamond is unplayable.
2) “IF” the diamonds are not playable, Matt or Megan will contact Rick Anderson(commissioner), hopefully before 8:00 a.m.
3) Rick will notify all convenors, the chief umpire, and the web master(Carla Hicks).
4) Carla will post cancellation notice to the WECSSO web site, and the convenors will notify their managers.
5) Managers will notify their players.
Please be patient. This procedure will be carried out as early and as quickly as possible. There is no need for anybody to be calling anyone prior to 8:00 a.m. If the rains come later in the morning, every effort will be made to notify people as quickly as possible. There is always a possibility that games may not be cancelled until players start arriving at the park. Hopefully that won’t happen, but we don’t control the weather or diamond conditions.
