Donald Joseph Aqwa

Passed away peacefully on January 12, 2018 with his loving family by his side at 86 years of age. Dear husband and best friend of the late Dorothy (nee Steininger, November 23, 2016). Together they shared 57 years of marriage. Proud father of Debbie (Dan Racicot) and Dan Aqwa (Wendy). Cherished grandfather of Matthew, Chelsea (Justin), Michael, Haley (Josh), Devon (Ryan) and Bryce. Great-grandfather of Gabriella, Maximus, and Laken. Don is survived by his brother George and predeceased by siblings, Phillip, Pauline, Edythe, August, Betty and Joseph. Don was a proud retiree of Chrysler Canada and an active member of Local 444. He had 35+ years of dedicated service. Don was well known in the bowling community in Windsor-Essex County from twenty-one years of age. Don was also very well known though out Windsor-Essex County for many of his other hobbies, activities and sports interests which included; pool, bingo, darts, cards and baseball. Don was very proud of his baseball pitching abilities, teams were still competing for his services when Don was well into his 80’s.
