Obituary of Carl James Isaac

Carl James Isaac

Nov 4, 1935- Aug 13, 2023

Carl was born in Forest ON in 1935, son of Harvey & Gertrude Isaac of Forest ON,.  He leaves behind his wife of 67 years, Patricia Isaac, (nee Griffin) along with daughter’s Kim Teeple (Carl) Susan Frankfurth (Dale) & Carla Reaume, along with 9 grandchildren, Amy, Isaac, Kristen, Jennifer, Nicole, Cody, Jeff, Kayla & Kristy and 16 great grandchildren. Others in his life, include step-father George Haley, sister Erma Petroski (deceased), brothers Jerry & Bob Haley.
Many will remember Carl as the owner of the Isaac Foodtown in Comber, for 30 + years, having learned the business in his early days in Sarnia. Those close to him will reflect on his unwavering love and commitment to Pat during her health
struggles over the years. Family will remember his generosity, humility and availability. He served as a volunteer firefighter in the village of Comber. For many years, he and the family enjoyed the Hillsborough cottage on Lake Huron he built as a young man.
Carl’s life had a significant transformation as a young husband and father in his late 20’s, as he came to faith in Christ and started to grow in this new journey. He served faithfully in various churches over the years and never wavered in his
faith. That relationship shaped him into the generous, loving, giving person he was, which was most evident in his care for Pat. His impact and life will be missed by many.

Update: Golf Tournament Cancellation

To: All WECSSO MEMBERS

Hello everyone,
As you may be aware WECSSO had planned a golf tournament for August 21, 2020.

Unfortunately, this has been CANCELLED, due to COVID 19.

The intent was to provide a venue for socialization for the players of the various divisions with a day of golf, mingling, a banquet, etc. Given the current environment this is not possible.

WECSSO does plan on holding such a tournament next year! Plan to be part of the 2021 Golf Tourney.
Stay safe,

Rick Anderson
Vice President/Commissioner
WECSSO

No Child Hungry Initiative

Jim and Heather Scott have formed a Registered Charity to hlep the people of Haiti battle back from the ravages of the tornado that nearly destroyed their island. They are requesting the help of approximately 550 volunteers to assist in packaging 100,000 military style meals that will be boxed and shipped to Haiti for distribution to the starving.

Volunteers are needed on Saturday, June 27th from 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., at 4505 Rhodes Drive in Windsor (Ground Effects main office). There will be on site parking and activities will be outside, weather permitting, or in the plant in the event of rain. Lunch will be provided. Pre-teens (11 or 12) can be utilized and High School students will be issued letters from Enable Haiti towards their required Community Service Hours for the day.

The Scott team have made several trips to this devastated area to deliver food and many other essentials.  The conditions and starvations that they have witnessed defies description.

Local media have been invited.  Please sign up and bring family and friends. It will be a fun and rewarding day. Please contact John McNaughton at jmcnaughton4@cogeco.ca or at 519-979-1790.
